How it compares.
There are good ways to sell in person with WooCommerce. Here's how they differ, so you can choose the one that fits your counter and your team.

Which fits you.

- If anyone at your counter uses a screen reader, braille display or large text, or you want every sale to be a WooCommerce order from the start, with supervisor approvals and a full audit log.

- If you need to keep selling when the internet drops, or want a phone in your pocket as the register, the other options cover that today. This register needs a connection and runs on a tablet or computer.
Switching over.
The register sells from the products, stock and customers already in your WooCommerce store, so there’s nothing to import. Here’s what to set up.
Add your locations and registers
In wp-admin, under Point of Sale, add each store with its address, then a register for each counter device.
Connect Stripe and your card readers
Create a Stripe Terminal location for each store, register your smart readers to it in the Stripe Dashboard, then pick each register's default reader.
Give your staff access
Choose the locations each person can work at on their WordPress profile. Supervisors and managers set their own 6-digit approval PIN in the register's settings.
Set up favorites
Supervisors choose up to 24 favorite products for each location, shown as big tiles on the Sale screen.
Connect a receipt printer
Add a Star CloudPRNT or Epson Server Direct Print printer to each register. The cash drawer plugs into the printer.
Practice in training mode
Turn on training mode for a register or a person. Practice sales stay out of your reports, drawers and stock, and are deleted after seven days.
